What does your 'happy place' look like? I have been thinking about mine... definitely tropical... hot sandy beach... waves lapping up over my feet as I explore the shore... a cool frothy pina colada... I can taste the coconut now. I don't usually drink alcohol but when I'm on vacation I love a pina colada by the beach watching the sun go down. I can feel the warm breeze gently pushing my hair around... aaaaahhhhhh!
Yep, that's my happy place.

My happy place varies, but it usually is near water, whether that be the ocean, or a river...it has to be near water...there's just something about it that is so healing and peaceful. Oh and I love the alphabets you've been doing!

Beautiful art on your blog, thanks for stopping by on mine. BTW my happy place is the exact opposite of yours. I think of a nice cosy room in deep winter with a fire burning, hot chocolate in a huge mug and me all curled up in a blanket on a very comfortable couch with one of my favorite books while the wind howls around the house and the snow is putting its own white blanket on everything outside. (And if Hugh Jackman just happens to be there to rub my feet I wouldn't send him away either, haha.)
Oh I love this piece Kelly. My favourite place is on a beach with my sketch book and pencil, a good book to read, a lemon lime and bitters, with the sun shining and warming my skin and also, like you, the waves lapping my feet, the gentle breeze blowing the smell of summer on my face.
Only one month to go and the season changes to Spring and then Summer around the corner.... I can almost smell it.....I know now what I'm doing when I get home from work - going straight to my big shell, putting it up to my ear, closing my eyes and visualising that place.
