Windswept Lady 1

I don't know what it is about me always drawing the hair of the ladies I draw blowing to the side, it's just so romantical(?). Plus I enjoy placing words in or just above the hair. I used my 'studio g' mini alphabet stamps for the saying, "Time To Fly". I don't normally use stamps in my art work as I find them limiting to my creativity but for sayings or verses or just one word even, they work absolutely perfect.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, with many blessings.

Hi Kelly. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I love the wind - we've had quite high winds here (south-east England) this past week and I've really felt exhilarated being out in it. One of my favourite textile artists often uses images of people, animals and kites in the wind and I love the way she has them leaning into it holding onto hats! I know some people hate it and find it makes them feel insecure and anxious but I'm not one of those thankfully.

And so what's wrong with romance!? lol;
I am wrapping lace about my throat...tell me that's not romantic....and my hair is always sweeping to the side too.....it's marvelous! I love your pages....and stamped words!

Thanks so much for your visit. I just posted again two seconds ago. Come by and you'll see what I mean about the throat thing!

ciao bella

I also like hair blowing in the wind and you do it so beautifully. In fact, I think this one you've done is one of my favorites.

I love all of your drawings and am inspired each time you post a new one. I love drawing ladies as best that I can, since I'm not a trained artist. I do thank you for sharing and inspiring.

Cute, the hair is fun. Who knows why we do half the things we do?!
