Peek-A-Boo We Still See You

#94 Rebecca Anthony over at Daisy Dolls Gypsy Caravan continues to inspire me with her series of 8 paintings of women's faces. She has now made her paintings into prints, postcards, a doodle book (to doodle over her faces before she has embellished them in the final stage of her paintings) and now she has used those images to make the cutest brushes!
Her faces made me want to try one for myself although far more amateur than Rebecca's and the above image is the result. I call her "Peek-a-boo we still see you". I loved the texture added to Rebecca's faces and I really do not know how she does it. As you can see my texture looks more like chicken pox than texture - lol. I did have fun layering the different colors onto the page though. I embellished the picture with flowers and decorative tape. I hope you like my version.
Happy creating everyone and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs to you all!

Very nice Kelly.. It looks like she may be stamping an image then coloring it? Maybe draw the initial outline, mask it and stamp the background, then continue with the coloring? They're beautiful!

Rebecca; Thank you so much as your opinion means a lot as it was from your drawings that I was inspired. It is not as good as yours that's for sure but I had fun doing it!

Thank you Janet!

Michelle;
have you ever masked something? I found a masking paint and it was so hard to get off? Stamped? it can't be that simple can it? Thanks for your opinions.

Kelly, how cool! I, too, am a strong admirer of Rebecca's Daisy Dolls . . . admittedly, I haven't tried to do one, but only dreamed of the hours of drawing they must require. They are SOOO detailed, and that's what makes them stunning, to me. But, I must tell you, when I saw your post on my Blogger Dashboard, with the photo of your Peek-A-Boo girl, I instantly said, "Oh, Rebecca's done another one!" I love her! Great art, Kelly! Now you've inspired me to attempt one...soon!
