Had The House To Myself This Morning

I woke up this morning to peace and quiet... it was so lovely. The boys went for a sleepover lastnight and hubbub and I had the evening to ourselves. We watched the movie "Unstoppable" with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Surprisingly I was on the edge of my seat during much of it!

So... back to this morning...

I made my morning tea, set up my drawing easle and large sketch book, got out my IPOD with my favorite tunes and turned up the volume...

and put the pencil to the paper!

I had an image in my mind before I began. Large eyes were certain.

After two hours of glorious bliss listening to music, sketching and having ME time... I was so at peace. Thank you God for this wonderful time!

I'm not finished her quite yet. I have named her however... her name is Evangeline. I have in mind to add some angel wings to the background, what do you think about that?

I can't tell you how good it feels to be able to have this time to do some of my art work! It has been much too long.

I hope you have an amazing weekend everyone. Many hugs and blessings to you.
With all my love...

Hi Kelly,

I felt drawn to your blog and thought I would drop you a line.
I read a few of your previous posts and found that you suffer from Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with Fibro back in 2004.
Would you let me know how you are doing with the new herb you have been taking from the article your MIL passed on to you?? I am taking meds and would like to find a more natural alternative if I could. I have to look again on your post....I forgot the name of it at the moment.

I love your "Evangelina" sketch and her lovely large eye's. I agree with you that she should have wings.
I am sensing that the color blue somehow be incorporated in this piece for healing.

Hugs and Blessings to You,

Susan

Hi Kelly,
Oooh, yes, I see an angel emerging from this picture!
How nice to wake up and not have to jump out of bed for someone else.
Lovely way to start the weekend.
Have a good one,
Hugs,
Anna

Sound like a wonderful time! And what a peaceful expression your woman has to reflect how you were feeling! I love the close up of her eye!

I hope you're feeling well and healing quickly, but just remember to take it easy!! We need you good and well so we can see more wonderful art like this!

Love, healing, and blessings to you Kelly.

Hi Kelly!

I love those moments, thanks for bringing us along with you. Your Evangeline is quite a beauty. With or without wings, she shines. Sometimes when I'm not sure whether to add something to a painting, I take a picture, print it out, and sketch on the print to see how it might look. Hope you and your sweetheart had a Happy Valentines!

Kelly, This was such a lovely post and would be perfect for my Tuesday Tea party. I wrote about taking time to rest and relax..to get alone with God and ourselves in the midst of busy days. I was going to say, you might have liked Tuesday's post a lot better than today's. :O) I always write 'from the heart' on Tuesdays. It's sort of my 'journal' day. I ask the ladies to get out their tea cups and join me for a 'little chat'. :o)

I LOVE your drawing. It's just incredible! I think that if I could draw like that, I wouldn't be to bothered about not sewing. LoL!

It really is amazing what quiet alone creative time does for us, isn't it!
I know that's what I'll be doing tomorrow!

Your session was time well spent Kelly!
Not only did you nurture your inner person, but you worked out, and brought to life a great work of art!
She's beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing!
How happy I am to have met a fellow artist, whom i 'get', and who I know 'gets' me in return!

Ciao Bella!
